Dhaka, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - PKSF organized a knowledge-sharing meeting here today with a view to building a sustainable and resilient agricultural system.
The meeting featured in-depth discussions on the development of climate-resilient agricultural technologies and the expansion of multi-harvest rice cultivation, said a press release.
The meeting titled 'Technology-based Income Generation for Farmers', was chaired by PKSF Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan. PKSF Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader moderated the session while renowned geneticist Dr Abed Chaudhury delivered the keynote presentation.
Among others, Dr Manzoor Ahmed, Chairman of Partner Organization FIVDB, and agricultural scientist Dr Shaikh Tanveer Hossain also spoke at the event.
The speakers emphasized that ensuring food security requires sustainable management of soil fertility, the development of high-yielding and climate-resilient crop varieties, and their rapid adoption at the field level.
In line with its 'Strategic Plan 2025-2030', PKSF is implementing a wide range of interventions with a strong focus on export-oriented value addition and diversified agro-processing, developing effective business models for sustainable technology transfer, promoting climate-resilient agriculture production systems, improving market access for farmers, expanding resource-efficient agricultural technologies and practices, and advancing agro-ecological farming to protect the agricultural ecosystem , the release said.
