DHAKA, Mar 7, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, Banglalink, the country’s leading digital operator, has partnered with Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited to support Bangladesh’s first cohort of professional female painters.
The initiative aims to create a comprehensive support ecosystem for these pioneering women, reflecting Banglalink’s people-first approach deeply rooted in care and its commitment to expanding opportunities for women through digital inclusion and innovation, while also supporting Berger’s initiative through Express Painting Service by female painters to promote inclusivity in the traditionally male-dominated painting profession.
Through this collaboration, Banglalink and Berger Paints seek to encourage greater female participation in non-traditional professions while demonstrating how digital access, financial opportunity and corporate collaboration can contribute to a more inclusive and resilient economy in Bangladesh, said a press release here today.
Berger Paints has provided the technical training through Berger Training Institutes (BTI) enabling these women to build professional painting skills and enter the workforce. Complementing this effort, Banglalink is supporting the painters with digital connectivity, additional financial access and healthcare services so they can grow and operate as independent professionals.
As part of the initiative, each participant will receive a Banglalink SIM card to establish a dedicated business contact allowing them to maintain a professional identity and communicate easily with customers availing painting services from Berger Experience Zone outlets.
Banglalink will also facilitate smart phone access through a structured EMI arrangement, covering the initial down payment so the painters can access online learning resources and promote their services digitally.
The program will also create opportunities for additional income. Participants will be on boarded as agents on the BL Power App, enabling them to earn commissions by offering mobile recharge services from their smart phones and creating a secondary revenue stream alongside their painting work.
To support their wellbeing, the initiative includes one year of unlimited doctor consultations through the MyBL App in partnership with CliniCall. Participants will also receive health insurance coverage of up to Tk 100,000 with an in-patient claim limit of Tk 25,000, along with life insurance coverage.
