LPG price adjusted upward

DHAKA, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) today adjusted the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) upward and now a 12 kilogram (Kg) LPG cylinder will be sold to the consumers at Tk 1,253 instead of Tk. 1,215.

“The newly fixed price of LPG is Taka 1,253, which will be effective from at 6pm today and all LPG marketing companies will sell the LPG at the new rate,” said BERC chairman Jalal Ahmed.

According to BERC, the LPG price was Taka 1,215 for 12-kg cylinder in November.

He said the prices of all 13 different sizes of LPG-filled cylinders were adjusted for December in line with new price adjustments by Saudi Arabia-based Aramco that sets the contract price or CP for LPG at the beginning of each month for term contracts.

The BERC also re-fixed auto gas price Taka 57.32 per liter, while per kilogram of LPG at reticulated stage at Taka 100.66 at retailer level inclusive VAT owned by private sector and Taka 223.80 per cubic metre of supplied LPG in gas system owned by private sector.

As per the BERC decision, 12.5 kg LPG has been refixed at Taka 1,305, 15 kg at Taka 1,566, 16 kg at Taka 1,671, 18 kg at Taka 1,880, 20 kg at Taka 2,088, 22 kg at Taka 2,298, 25 kg at Taka 2,610, 30 kg at Taka 3,133, 33 kg at Taka 3,446, 35 kg at Taka 3,654 and 45 kg at Taka 4,699.
