DHAKA, Nov 23, 2025 (BSS) – International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh organized a day-long workshop on ‘Capacity building of MSMEs and Women Entrepreneurs’ for using ICC Rules in International Trade on Saturday in a city hotel, Chattogram.
The workshop has been designed for the benefits of MSMEs and Women Entrepreneurs who are engaged in international trade, in particular in export of non-traditional goods, said a press release here today.
The workshop provided the participants the opportunity to learn about ICC Rules on international trade and understand the complex global trade finance scenario as well as how to take correct decisions to avoid the risk of settlements of L/Cs.
The workshop was organized under ICC HQs. Capacity-building projects to help SMEs and women entrepreneurs to understand various ICC rules such as UCP 600, Incoterms 2020, ISBP., which are to be followed in the export-import business. Under the capacity-building project, ICC Bangladesh has so far organized four workshops since 2024, which have been attended by 300 SME participants and women entrepreneurs.
ICC Bangladesh Secretary General Ataur Rahman inaugurated the workshop and A T M Nesarul Hoque, Executive Vice President of Mutual Trust Bank conducted the Workshop.
A total of 95 participants, comprising bankers, women entrepreneurs and SMEs, attended the workshop.
