DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) - Country's both the bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- today extended its gaining streak for the third consecutive session following the sharp corrections.
DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, advanced by 71.92 points to settle at 4,846.88 points. Two other indices also ended higher with the DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, rose 19.87 points to finish at 1,889.77 and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 17.25 points to close at 1,017.67.
At DSE, out of the day's 377 securities, prices of 320 securities closed higher against 38 losing issues.
The day's trade value at the DSE increased to Taka 4,755.33 million which was Taka 3,480.54 million at the previous session of the week.
The major gaining issues were MLDYEING, RAHIMTEXT, INTECH, BBS and BBSCABLES while the major losing companies were PROGRESLIF, EXIM1STMF, LIBRAINFU, GQBALLPEN and MJLBD.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the day of the week with an upward trend with its major CASPI 157.95 points up at 13,526.48.
At the CSE, 170 issues were traded. Of those, 140 closed higher and 16 closed lower when 95.60 lakh shares worth Taka 11.13 crore changed hands.
