TOKYO, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Japan's benchmark stock index dropped two percent early Tuesday, tracking declines in other global markets as traders awaited key earnings reports including from chip giant Nvidia.
The Nikkei 225 shed 2.0 percent to 49,305 points, while the broader Topix index was down 1.7 percent.
The selling followed losses on Wall Street fuelled by concerns that the US Federal Reserve could hold off on further rate cuts this year.
