ICSB organises chartered secretary course

DHAKA, Aug 25, 2025 (BSS) - The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) organised an orientation programme for the students of 56th batch of Chartered Secretary (CS) Course on the city's ICSB premises yesterday. 

M. Naseemul Hye, president of ICSB, inaugurated the 56th batch of the CS course while Md. Shamibur Rahman, secretary in charge of the Institute, moderated the programme. 

The inauguration session was attended by a good number of students.

While delivering the welcome remarks, Abul Fazal Mohamed Rubayat, council member and chairman of Education Committee of ICSB, praised the course and class conducting process. 

He briefly explained the prospects of the chartered secretary profession and assured about constant cooperation, said a press release here today. 

Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, senior vice-president and chairman of the Examination Committee of ICSB, welcomed the new entrants and focused on the importance of this profession in the national and global context.
 
The new students must be updated with the latest information of the business and corporate world at home and abroad, he mentioned. 

M. Naseemul Hye urged the students to strive for academic excellence, personal values and social concern. He marked the CS profession as a challenging and rewarding profession across the world. 

Naseemul mentioned all new aspiring CS professionals as the torch bearers for this profession. He also desired them to be the brand ambassadors of ICSB. 

Vice-President of ICSB AKM Mushfiqur Rahman, its council members Salim Ahmed and Md. Sharif Hasan, Council Member and Joint Secretary (Drafting), Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs Division of Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs SM Shafaet Hossen were present and discussed in the orientation programme.
 
A question and answer (Q&A) session was also followed.

In the concluding note, Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, treasurer of ICSB, accented the demanding nature of the Chartered Secretary qualification.
