DHAKA, June 23, 2025(BSS) - The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection today launched a new mobile Android Applications (APPs) ‘Bazardor’ (market price) to inform consumers about the changing market prices of essential commodities.
Director General (DG) of the Directorate Mohammad Alim Akhter Khan inaugurated the apps at the conference room of the directorate here.
Director (admin and finance) Abdul Jalil, Director (allegations and investigation) Mohammad Azizul Islam, Director, (activities and laboratory) Fakir Mohammad Monowar Hossain, Principal of Daffodil Institute of IT Md Sakhawat Hossain, other senior officials of the directorate and developer of the apps and a student of the Daffodil Institute of IT Md Ibrahim Molla, were present at the inaugural ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, DG Alim Akhter Khan said that the directorate has been working relentlessly for ensuring the consumers right and peoples friendly services despite limitations of manpower and technology and financial constraint.
This apps is easy, short, effective and user friendly and it would be added to the regular activities of the directorate, the DG added.
He thanked the developer of the apps for giving it to the directorate without taking any charge and urged all to extending all out cooperation to make the apps a success.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed there between the directorate and the student of the Daffodil Institute of IT Md Ibrahim Molla for implementing the apps and its sustainable development through providing technical assistance in this regard.
