BEIJING, May 13, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - China will provide Latin American and Caribbean nations with $9.2 billion in credit, leader Xi Jinping said Tuesday, as he addressed a summit with regional leaders.

"In order to support the development of Latin American and Caribbean countries, China will provide 66 billion RMB ($9.2 billion) in credit," Xi told the opening ceremony of the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum in Beijing.
