DHAKA, June 14, 2023 (BSS)-Chinese company Fujian Mengba Investment Ltd is likely to invest US$45 million at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN) in Chattogram which will generate employment for about 1350 people.

A deal was signed today on the allotment of land between the Fujian Mengba Investment Co, Ltd and Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) at its office here to establish factory on 20 acres of land, said a press release.

BEZA Executive Member Md Mozibor Rahman and Representative of Fujian Mengba Investment Co, Ltd Wang Yuan yao signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.

Congratulating the investor for signing the agreement, BEZA Executive Chairman Shaikh Yusuf Harun said that BEZA has been able to create an investment-friendly environment in Bangladesh.

 He mentioned that one of the largest economic zones and industrial cities in South Asia is being built in Mirsarai in Chattogram district.

 As a result, an unprecedented revolution of industrialization will be achieved in this country and the goals of sustainable development will be met, he added.
