NARAIL, Nov 27, 2022 (BSS)-Seeds and fertilizer distribution programme was began in the district today to boost the paddy production.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Habibur Rahman inaugurated the programme at a function at Sadar Upazila Parishad premises this morning.

Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) Dipok Kumar Ray chaired the function that was addressed among others by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sadia Islam and Upazila Agriculture Officer Rokonuzzaman.

A total of 12000 farmers in the district would get paddy seeds and various type of fertilizer free of the cost under the programme.
