PANCHAGARH, Nov 15, 2022 (BSS) - Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) will distribute seeds and fertilizers free of cost as agricultural incentives among the 17,620 small and marginal farmers in all five upazilas of the district in the current season.

The government has allocated Taka one crore and 81 lakh for agricultural incentives in all five upazilas of the district in the current season for 17,620 farmers.

Deputy Director of DAE Md Rias Uddin told BSS the seeds and fertilizers will be distributed among the beneficiary farmers to assist them in cultivating varieties of crops under the agricultural incentives and rehabilitation programme to increasing the production of wheat, maize, mustard, mung dal, onion and ground nut, he said.

For wheat cultivation, each farmer will get 20-kg seeds, 10-kg DAP fertilizers, 10-kg MOP fertilizers, for maize cultivation each farmer will get 2-Kg seeds, 20-kg DAP fertilizers and 10-kg MOP fertilizers for mustard cultivation each farmer will get one and half kg of mustard seeds, 10-kg of DAP fertilizers and 10-kg of MOP fertilizers.

Five kg of seeds, 10-kg DAP fertilizers and 5 kg of MOP fertilizers will be given to each farmer for mungdal cultivation and 5 -kg seeds, 10-kg Dap fertilizers and 5-kg MOP fertilizers will be given to each farmer for lentil cultivation .

Each farmer will get agricultural incentives for one bigha of land, DAE official added.
