CHAPAINAWABGANJ, March 6, 2024 (BSS) - A total of 1,200 farmers of the district would get seeds of Tossa jute free of cost to cultivate jute on 1,200 bighas of land this year.
 
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources said of the total, 450 farmers would get the seeds in Sadar upazila, 600 farmers in Shibganj upazila, 50 farmers in Gomastapur upazila, 50 farmers in Nachole upazila and 50 farmers in Bholahat upazila as incentives from the government.
 
Each farmer would get one kg of seeds.
