Dhaka, June 15, 2021 (BSS) – Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government is the most media friendly government in the country.
He said this at a meeting on the occasion of the ninth founding anniversary of the daily Noakhali Pratidin at the Noakhali Zila Samiti auditorium in the capital’s Paltan area, said a press release.
“No government is as media-friendly as Sheikh Hasina’s one…During her time, for the first time in the history of the country, the journey of television started in the private sector and the most private television, newspapers and online portals were approved,” he said.
“PM has ensured free flow of information, in the past….No one has come forward for the welfare of the under-privileged journalists during the pandemic crisis,” he added.
Vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik, president of the editorial board of the daily Noakhali Pratidin Nasir Uddin, president of the Bangladesh Expatriate Welfare Organization Mohammad Omar Faruk also spoke with editor and publisher M Rafuqul Anwar in the chair.
