RANGPUR, Sept 24, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr. Shirin
Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, today said information and communication
technology (IT)-based education is the main tool of development in the
present times.
“Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centers are being
established to develop IT based modern education and turn the young
generation into skilled human resources,” she said, adding that Sheikh
Russell Digital Labs will be set up in every school.
The Speaker said this while addressing virtually at a function
arranged for laying the foundation stone for construction of ‘Sheikh
Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center’ organized by the Information
and Communication Technology (ICT) Division at Pirganj upazila
parishad auditorium in the district as the chief guest.
The Speaker formally inaugurated the construction work of Sheikh
Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center online.
State Minister for ICT Division Junaid Ahmed Palak, MP, unveiled the
plaque of the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center and
addressed the function as the special guest.

Construction Project’ Md. Mostafa Kamal gave the welcome speech on the
occasion.
The Speaker said everyone is able to enjoy the benefit of Digital
Bangladesh now following the efficient, time-befitting and effective
steps taken by Sajeeb Wazed Joy, ICT Adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina.
“In continuation of this, the ICT sector will take its place in the
field of earning foreign exchanges. Everyone has realized the benefit
of Digital Bangladesh during the crisis of the coronavirus pandemic
period,” she said.
Dr. Shirin said a Digital Bangladesh is visible in every field with
the concerted efforts of all concerned under the guidance and
supervision of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The naming of the project and IT Training and Incubation Center
after the name of multi-dimensionally talented and heroic freedom
fighter Sheikh Kamal, a worthy son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is perfect and timely as he wanted to take the
younger generation forward.
