DMP fines Tk 1.78 lakh for violating health rules
DHAKA, June 28, 2020 (BSS) – The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has realised over Tk 1.78 as fines from 21 business establishments, six individuals and one factory in the capital for violating hygiene rules set to stem the outbreak of coronavirus.
Mobile courts under the DMP carried out drives across the capital on Saturday and fined various individuals and organizsations for not following proper health rules imposed by the government to prevent the transmission of coronavirus (Covid-19), said a press release here today.
The mobile courts conducted drives in Ramna, Tejgaon and Lalbagh areas.
During the mobile court operation, six shops were fined a total of Tk 2,500 in Ramna and a total of Tk 11,500 was fined from 10 shops in Tejgaon, said the release.
A total of Tk 1,64,800 was fined from six shops, six individuals and a factory in Lalbagh, added the release.
