62 additional district judges get Sedan cars
DHAKA, July 1, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 62 additional district and session judges of the subordinate courts received Sedan cars from the government in the capital today.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq handed over the keys of the cars to the judges on the premises of the Directorate of Registration, a handout said.
In fiscal 2018-19, the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry brought 109 Sedan cars and six microbuses spending about Tk 38.76 crore for the judges of the subordinate courts.
Among the cars, 46 cars were brought for the district and session judges at a cost of Tk 17.21 crore, while 62 cars for additional district and session judges spending Tk 18.35 crore and a car of Tk 64 lakh for the Administrative Appellate Tribunal.
Besides, six microbuses worth Tk 2.56 crore were brought for the chief judicial magistrate courts of six districts.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs secretary ASSM Zahirul Haque and joint secretary of the ministry Golam Sarwar were, among others, present on the occasion.
