Women booters finish Korean tour on winning note


DHAKA, July 19, 2017 (BSS) – It was encouraging for Bangladesh football as Bangladesh U-16 Women’s team once again hogged the headlines as they drew the curtain on their South Korean tour on a winning note defeating Oju Middlle School Women’s FC by a flattering margin of 3-0 on Wednesday.

Bangladesh eve booters hardly had to sweat as they coasted to cakewalk win with Sanjida and Nargis scoring the first two goals while ace goal getter Shopna sealed the fate of the match slotting home at the fag end of the match.

Eves booter had flown to the South Korean city of Paju on July 10 to play four friendly matches and suffered a shaky start losing as they were trounced 6-0 by their Korean U-16 counterpart.

. However U-16 girls came back in a style as they recorded an overwhelming 9-0 win over Korean Yulmyun Middle School in the 2nd match.

In the their 3rd outing , Bangladesh girls showed their fighting spirit as they forced South Korean Hwacheon Information Industry High School Women’s Football Club to a 2-2 pulsating draw.

After being down by 2 goals at the end of the first half, the girls displayed their fighting ability as they fought back strongly with Sanjida and Shamsunnahar scoring goal apiece to equalized the game on 2-2.
