Tahsin shares points in 2nd second round in KIIT Chess Festival
DHAKA, June 2, 2019 (BSS) – Tahsin Tajwar Zia drew with GM Neverov Valeoriy of Ukraine
in the 2nd round game of the 12th KIIT International Chess Festival now being held at
Bhubaneswar, Odisha in India.
In the 2nd round games were held on Saturday, Tahsin drew with black pieces.
GM Ziaur Rahman and FM Mohammad Fahad Raman are sharing 2nd position with 2.5 points
after 3rd round games along with other 30 players.
Tahsin Tajwar Zia, Anisuzzaman Jewel and Mezanur Rahman earned 1.5 points each. Avik
Sarker, Sazzad Kishor, Shahdiul Islam, Tipu Sultan, Hafiz Bin Islam Rony, SC Sarker
Shyamal, Abu Lish Ansary earned one point each while Jadunath Biswas secured 0.5 point
after 3rd round games.
In the day’s 3rd round games were held today (Sunday), GM Zia drew with WIM Arpita
Mukherjee of India, FM Fahad beat Nirgun Keval of India, Jewel drew with Dharani
Srinivas of India, Tahsin lost to IM Vardaan Nagpal of India and Mezan lost to IM Ravi
Hegde Gopal of India.
