5 women get Begum Badrunnesa Ahmed Trust award
DHAKA, March 8, 2019 (BSS) – Begum Badrunnesa Ahmed Trust today awarded five renowned women for their contribution to the society at the International Mother Language Institute Auditorium at Dhaka University.
The award was given marking the International women’s Day, said a press release.
The recipients are – former Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, former Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, former Foreign Minister and Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and Major General Susane Giti.
National Prof Anisuzzaman was present on the occasion as the chief guest while International Business Department of Dhaka University Prof Khondoker Bazlul Hoque and former Vice-President of DUCSU Prof Mahfuza Khanam and Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Iftekhar Uddin were present as the special guests.
