Fair to showcase government’s development achievements in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Oct 2, 2018 (BSS) – A three-day development fair is going to be
held in the city from Thursday aims at highlighting the present government’s
success relating to the economic and social development along with MDG
achievements.

The fair organised by district administration will be held at Rajshahi
College playground where more than 172 government and associate development
organisations will showcase their respective development achievements in
separate stalls.

Before the inaugural session, a colourful rally will be held from
Alupatty crossing and that will end at the fair venue after parading some
thoroughfares.

These were stated in a pre-fair press briefing held at the conference
hall of Deputy Commissioner here today.

Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader addressed the briefing as focal
person. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Alamgir Kabir and Additional
Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Abu Hayat Muhammad Rahmatullah supplemented
him. In the briefing, journalists were told that an epoch-making development
has been attained in Bangladesh during the term of the present government
under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Side by side with the fair, four reality shows will be held highlighting
the achievements of MDG and other development fields by the school students.
Eighteen educational institutions and offices will arrange five seminars to
present documentary films on improvements. The fair will present cultural
functions based on the Great War of Liberation and present government’s
successes.

State Minister of Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, Mayor of Rajshahi
City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Divisional Commissioner Nur-Ur-
Rahman, Director General of NGO Bureau Abdus Salam, DIG of Rajshahi Range
Khurshid Hussain, Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Hafiz Akhter
will attend the inaugural session.
