BSS implements 45pc DA for its journalists, employees
DHAKA, Sept 27, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) has implemented the 45 percent dearness allowance (DA) for its journalists and employees as per the government’s notification issued on September 11.
The Ministry of Information issued the notification on the basis of the recommendation of the Ninth Wage Board for DA with effective from March 1 this year.
The government has formed the 9th Wage Board for the journalists and employees of newspapers and news agencies of the country on January 29 this year.
The board, headed by Justice Md Nizamul Haque, a retired justice of the Supreme Court, will make recommendations about the salaries, allowances and other facilities of the journalists, employees and press workers after reviewing the 8th Wage Board Award.
Joint Secretary (Press) of the Information Ministry M Mizan-ul-Alam is the secretary of the wage board.
