MITHAMAIN (Kishoreganj), Sept 27, 2018 (BSS)-President M Abdul Hamid, who
is on five-day visit to his ancestral district here, today extended his
heartiest congratulations to Bangladesh cricket team for reaching final of
the ongoing Asia Cup Cricket tournament by defeating Pakistan.
In a congratulatory message, the President greeted all the players, coach
and officials concerned of the national team as well as Bangladesh Cricket
Board (BCB) for achieving victory over Pakistan.
Bangladesh team moved into the final of the 14th edition of the six-nation
continental tournament as it defeated two-time champions Pakistan by 37 runs
in a virtual semifinal at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi today.
“This winning spree of the Bangladesh cricket team will continue in the
days to come,” the President hoped.
The Tigers will now face India in the final in Dubai International Cricket
Stadium tomorrow (Friday).
