Govt emphasizes on madrasa, vocational education: Chanda
DHAKA, Sept 22, 2018 (BSS) – Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayon Chandra Chanda today said the present government put emphasis on madrasa and vocational education along with the general one.
“Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had established Islamic Foundation and Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board while his worthy daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given recognition to Qawmi Madrasas,” he said.
The minister stated this while inaugurating the newly built building of Sahos Islamia Dakhil Madrasa in Sahos Union under Dumuria Upazila in Khulna this morning.
Bangladesh, he said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a role model of development in the world. The work of Padma Bridge is going on rapidly and the country is running on the highway of development, Chanda added.
Presided over by president of Sahos Islamia Dakhil Madrasa governing body Sheikh Abdul Kuddus, the function was also attended by district council member Sardar Abu Saleh, union parishad chairman Sheikh Joynal Abedin and Upazila Awami League leader Md Shah Newaz Hossain, among others.
Education Engineering Department (EED) constructed the building at a cost of around Taka 67 lakh.
