2-Day contest to select participants for World Skill Competition ends

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2018 (BSS) – The second phase of a selection contest styled ‘Rising Star Skill Competition’ in fashion technology category concluded today at the certified lab of Underprivileged Children’s Education Programs (UCEP) in the city’s Mirpur area.

National Skill Development Council (NSDC) in association with Team Group organized the two-day competition to find out the right competitors for participating in the 45th World Skill Competition scheduled to be held at Kazan in Russia from August 22 to 23 in 2019, said a press release here.

A total of 50 contestants from different universities took part at the competition. Out of them, five will be primarily selected for an 11-month-long training and after completion of the training two will be finally selected for participating in the competition.

The country is going to participate in the World Skill Competition for the first time in 2019.
