No alternative to Hasina for peace, progress: Inu

RANGPUR, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS) – President of JASOD and Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu said there is no alternative to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for continuous peace, progress and welfare of common people.

“During past ten-year rule, unprecedented developments have taken place under the proven leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She is the symbol of peace and spirit of the War of Liberation,” he said.

Inu was addressing a public rally of JASOD arranged in favour of its probable candidate from the 14-party alliance for Rangpur-2 seat Kumaresh Roy on O/A Government College ground in Taraganj upazila this evening as chief guest.

The minister said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been fighting against militancy, razakars, fire terrorists, anti-liberation forces and drug traders since winning of the general elections in 2008.

“We are still fighting a hard war against the defeated anti-liberation forces like that in 1971 to keep the BNP-Jamaat clique out of power by bringing a qualitative change in national politics,” he said.

He said, “During post 1975 periods, Ziaur Rahman brought back razakars to politics. Now, we have become united under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to stop musical chair game of ‘one time razakar and then pro-liberation’ governments in the country.”

“We are working so that digital Bangladesh and democracy would not fall into the grasp of razakars and fire terrorists and drug traders could not destroy social and family peace,” Inu said.

Terming Begum Khaleda Zia as venomous tree of national politics, Inu said she could not even leave the war criminal Jamaat, militants and terrorists and did not utter even a single word about fire terrorists.

“During the post 1975 periods, the military juntas imported the abandoned razakars and give birth to their mother Khaleda Zia,” Inu said.

“Khaleda Zia has become address of the venomous tree of politics, militancy and fire terrorism and a fertile factory for production and reproduction of killers. They have become cornered but their venomous teeth are yet to be broken,” he said.

While discussing about new polarization of national politics, Inu said Dr Kamal Hossain and Dr Badruddoza Chowdhury do not like Sheikh Hasina and they have emerged to demand resignation of the government and save Khaleda Zia.

“Dr Kamal is the new mask of cornered BNP and they are using Kamal as a shield as last means for survival after seeing darkness all-around of them for their wrong-doings,” Inu said and called upon Dr Kamal not be used for hiding nasty works of BNP-Jamaat.

Inu said Sheikh Hasina has established the rule of law after winning elections in 2008 and conducted trial of killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by removing culture of indemnity.

“The BNP-Jamaat clique is trying to remove spots of corruptions, terrorism, militancy and fire terrorism from their faces. We must keep Khaleda Zia out of power as the nation will repent for 100 years if any mistake is committed in next elections,” Inu said.

Inu called upon the people to remain alert and united before the general elections to elect the pro-liberation government led by Sheikh Hasina for peace and development.

Presided over by Taraganj upazila JASOD Kumaresh Roy, Advisor of JASOD Dr Ekramul Hossain Swapan, Vice-president Shafi Uddin Mollah, Joint General Secretaries Naymul Ahsan Jewell and Obaidur Rahman Chunnu and President of JASOD-backed Chhatra League Ahsan Habib Shamim, among others, addressed the rally.

Later, Inu addressed street rallies in favour of local JASOD leader Kumaresh Roy as a possible candidate of the 14-party alliance for Rangpur-2 constituency at Badarganj and Shyampur towns at night.
