Eleven matches of School Handball meet decided in opener
DHAKA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS)- Eleven matches of the girls’ section of Polar
Ice Cream 25th School Handball tournament (boys &girls) were decided on the
opening day (Thursday) at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in
the city.
In the day’s girls’ section opening matches, Scholastica (Uttara) beat
Motijheel Govt. Girls High School by 8-0 goals, Viqarunnisa Noon School and
College blanked South Point School by 17-0 goals, Kodomtota Purbo Bashabo
School and College defeated Shahed Romiz Uddin Cantonment School and College
3-1, Scholastica (Uttara) outplayed Scholastica (Mirpur) by 2-1, Motijheel
Govt Girls High School overpowered Bangladesh International School and
College 2-1, Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College beat Sideshwari
Girls School 6-0, Sunnydale defeated Dhanmondi Tutorial 11-0, Shaheed Police
Smrity College blanked Heed International 6-3, Viqarunnisa Noon School and
College drubbed Kodomtota Purbo Bashabo School 11-0, Shaheed Ramiz Uddin
Cantonment School and College outplayed South Pint School 7-0 and Heed
International defeated Dhanmondi Tutorial 3-2.
A total of 36 metropolis schools including 20 of boys’ and 16 of girls’
will take part in the meet, sponsored by Dhaka Ice cream Industries and
organized by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF).
Earlier, State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr. Biren Sikder formally
inaugurated the meet as the chief guest. Dhaka Ice cream Industries chief
executive officer Shah Masud Imam was present as special guest on the
occasion.
