Shahin emerge champions in Div. II Chess
DHAKA, Sept. 19, 2018 (BSS)- Shahin Chess Club emerged unbeaten champions
in the MARCEL 2nd Division Chess League now being held on Wednesday at
Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
Shahin Chess Club earned 14 game points to clinch the title.
In the 8th or last round games were held on today (Wednesday) with
Shahin Chess Club drew with Masud Sports Chess Club by 2-2 game points.
Dhaka Knights Chess Club became runners-up with 13 points. In last round
Dhaka Knight Chess Club drew with Learning Chess Club by2-2 points. Learning
Chess Academy finished 3rd with 11 points and Masud Sports Chess Club became
4thand Dhaka Chess Club finished 5th at the same points.
Bangladesh Police became 6th, Crescent Club became 7th, 64 Squares Chess
Club became 8th and Elegant International Chess Academy became 9th with 10
points each. BRAC University-Red became 10th, Asad Chess Club became 11th,
Elegant International Chess Academy-Dhanmondi became 12th and Jahangirnagar
International Chess Academy became 13th with 9 points each.
A total of 32 teams participated in the league.
Champions Shahin Chess Club received taka twenty five thousand while
runners-up Dhaka Knight Chess Club got taka fifteen thousand third place
finishers Learning Chess Academy got taka ten thousand.
