JS body for rail link between Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Chandpur
DHAKA, Sept 19, 2018 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Railways today recommended constructing rail link between Noakhali, Lakshmipur and Chandpur.
The made the recommendation at its 49th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its Chairman ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury in the chair, said an official release here.
Committee members Railways Minister Md Mazibul Hoque, Md Muslem Uddin, Mohammad Mizanur Rahman and Mohammad Noman attended the meeting.
The committee also recommended taking necessary measures to include different information about passengers, including their names, in rail tickets like air tickets to prevent irregularities.
It also suggested placing a time-befitting organogram, determining department-wise manpower in the railways, before the committee in the next meeting.
Senior officials of the Railways Ministry and other officials concerned were present at the meeting.
