AL leaders urge people to vote for ‘Boat’ in JS polls

DHAKA, Sept 17, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League leaders at a discussion today urged the people to cast their votes for

party’s election symbol ‘Boat’ in the next Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election to continue the current development trend of the

country.

“The country is witnessing an unprecedented development in every sector under the Awami League-led government.

To continue the development trend, Awami League should be voted to power again,” AL advisory council member

Mozaffar Hossain Paltu told a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club auditorium.

AL religious affairs sub-committee organized the discussion on ‘role of Bangabandhu and his daughter Prime Minister

Sheikh Hasina in spreading essence of Islam’ with the sub-committee chairman Golam Mowla Nakshabandi in the chair.

Sub-committee’s member Md Omar Faruk, Md Zakir Hossain and Sultan Nasir Uddin Shishir addressed the discussion,

among others.

Paltu urged the people to be united to resist BNP if it resorts to anarchy in the country centering the next parliament

election likewise it did in 2014.

Speaking on the occasion, Nakshabandi urged the people to vote for the party which works for the betterment of the

people, including Alems and Olamas.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government has set up 560 mosques.

Nakshabandi said the AL government has a plan to provide financial assistance to imams who draw salary less than

Taka 5000.
