DHAKA, Sept 15,2018 (BSS)- Vietnam and Lebanon got off to a winning start in the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 Qualifiers that began today (Saturday) at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.
In the day’s first match of the fixture, Vietnam blanked United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 4-0 goals while Lebanon dumped Bahrain by 8-0 goals in the day’s second match.
UAE will play their group second match against Lebanon while Bahrain will take on host Bangladesh in their respective group second matches scheduled to be held on Monday (Sept. 17) at the same venue.
The girls in red and green will play their group second match against Lebanon on September 19, meet UAE on September 21 and then take on Vietnam on September 23.
