Land office earns Tk 4,594.32 cr as revenue in 9-yr
SANGSAD BHABAN, Sept 11, 2018 (BSS) – Land (Bhumi) offices across the
country has earned Taka 4,594 crore 32 lakh 3 thousand 50 as general
and organizational revenue from 2009-2010 to 2017-2018.
“The present government has decided to set up land offices at every
union and pourasava,” Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif said this,
while replying to a starred question from treasury bench member A Kh M
Jahangir Hossain in the Jatiya Sangsad today.
He said that as part of the government decision a total 1,310 union and
pourasava land offices were waiting for final approval.
The minister informed the House that there are 4,767 union land offices
across the country, adding, “Out of this 3,457 unions have union land
offices, while 1,310 unions have no land office.”
