10 held over forest guard murder in Chattogram
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 6, 2018 (BSS) – A case was filed against 16 people in
connection with the murder of a forest guard Abdus Salam during an eviction
drive in Bhujpur forest area under Fatikchhari upazila on Wednesday.
Taraho Beat Officer Atiqul Islam of Hasnabad Range filed the case with
Bhujpur thana against 16 people in the night, said Rais Alam, officer-in-
charge of Bhujpur thana.
Meanwhile Bhujpur thana police arrested 10 FIR treated people including
seven women during a series of drive in the last 12 hours from different area
under the police station, he said.
Forest guard Abdus Salam, 50, was beaten to death and three others were
injured by some miscreants while evicting illegal establishments from
government owned forest area at Bhujpur in Fatikchhari upazila on Wednesday.
