DHAKA, Aug 27, 2018 (BSS) -Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, expressed the desire his children could live in a country free of militancy, arsonists, war criminals and evil spirits.

“That’s why Nazrul remains relevant,” he added.

Referring to National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam as our life force in the struggle against militant hyenas, Inu said “with the secular spirit of Nazrul in our hearts we will build Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla under the guidance of Sheikh Hasina.”

The minister was speaking as chief guest at the 42nd death anniversary of the Poet.

“In the 21st century confronted with the challenge of an inequitable globalization process, poverty, inequity and nuclearization Nazrul is even more contextual,” he said.

“To free the country of superstition, communalism and myopia and confront the hyenas who use these tools to strike from the back Nazrul’s eternally powerful lyrics inspire us to pledge their destruction,” he said.
