Low likely to form over North Bay

DHAKA, Aug 5, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
forecast a low over North Bay in next 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow
as monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at many places in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and
at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka and
Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,”
said a met office release issued here this morning.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Country’s highest temperature was recorded by 34.2 degrees Celsius on
Saturday in Satkhira and lowest temperature was recorded jointly by 25
degrees Celsius today at Rangamati and Feni.

The highest rainfall for the last 24-hours till 6am today was recorded by
41millimeters (mm) at Kutubdia.

Today’s sunset in the capital will be at 6.39pm and tomorrow’s sunrise
will be at 5.30am.
