DHAKA Nov 2, 2017 (BSS) – Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said today that the media must play a significant role in eliminating the allies of Razakars from the country.
The minister was speaking at a roundtable organized by the editors of weekly magazines at the auditorium of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).
Praising the role of the media against the Razakars, militants and zealots, he said that they should play an equally effective role in exposing and isolating their allies.
“We’ve to remember that the Razakars and militants are Khaleda Zia’s political partners. We’ve to remember that for a stable country political stability was a prerequisite. And that it was not possible keeping the principal patron of Razakars and militants active,” he said.
“This is the biggest challenge of the day,” he said.
The minister also said that he would look into the demands placed by the editors.
The workshop was also participated by editors, academics and PIB personnel.
