5 robbers held in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, July 25, 2018 (BSS)- Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP)
arrested five robbers from city’s rail station area under Kotwali thana early
this morning.
The arrested were identified as Mohammad Nayon, 25, Zamal alias Jamboo, 32,
Suman, 21, Al Islam Raju, 35 and Mohammad Abdul alias Kalu, 18.
On a tip-off, a team of police from Kotwali thana nabbed them from Manila
Hotel area in the city as they were gathering there to plan for committing
robbery, said Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge (OC)of Kotwali thana.
However, sensing the presence of the law enforcers, other robbers fled
from the scene.
Later, the police team also recovered four knives from their possession.
The arrested have been wanted in many criminal cases, filed with different
police stations.
A case was filed with Kotwali thana in this connection.
