20 helpless people get battery-run auto-van in Sundarganj

GAIBANDHA, April 23, 2021 (BSS) – Some 20 helpless people of Sundarganj upazila in the district got battery-run auto-van from an American expatriate of the upazila free of cost yesterday.

In this regard, a simple function was held on Bangabandhu premises of Sundarganj Municipality with American expatriate Mostafa Mohsin Sarder Tipu in the chair.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Al-Maruf addressed the function as the chief guest while Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sundarganj Thana Abdullahil Zaman was present as special guest.

Former Belka Union Parishad (UP)Chairman Md. Jahirul Islam, Sramik leader Sadequl Islam Dulal were present, among others.

By thanking the American expatriate, Mohammad Al-Maruf urged the solvent persons of the society to stand beside the ultra-poor with assistive devices to help them for earning economic profit aimed at building poverty and hunger free country.

A large number of people from all walks of life were present on the occasion.
