DHAKA, April 18, 2021 (BSS) – The 49th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Krishak League, an associate body of the ruling Awami League, will be observed tomorrow.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had founded Bangladesh Krishak League on April 19, 1972 to protect the rights of farmers and develop the country’s agriculture sector. Since inception, Krishak League has been playing glorious role in organizing farmers, realizing their rights and all democratic movements.
The organization has taken up programme to observe the day on limited scale with maintaining health guidelines in view of the second wave of the coronavirus outbreak.
The programme includes hoisting of national and party flag in front of AL’ central office at Bangabandhu Avenue at 9.30am, placing of wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu on Bangabandhu Bhaban premises at Dhanmondi road number 32 at 10am, distribution of mask at 10.30 at the Dhanmondi 32 number areas.
Complementary gift (masks) will be given to AL’s all associate and like-minded bodies, journalist friends from media.
On the occasion of the 49th founding anniversary, Krishak League President Samir Chanda extended greetings to the people.
Organization’s General Secretary Umme Kulsum Smriti urged the leaders and workers to observe the anniversary at district, city, upzila and union levels with maintaining health guidelines.
