JAMALPUR, April 15, 2021 (BSS)- Hardcore poor people got works under an employment generation programme of the government in the district this year.
According to District Relief and Rehabilitation Office sources a total of 25,934 people who have no work during lean period came under the 40- day income generation programme aiming to provide them financial support.
The beneficiary of the programme is as follows- 2262 people in Bakshiganj ,3425 people in Dewanganj, 3802 people in Islampur, 6256 people in Jamalpur Sadar, 3402 people in Madarganj, 3539 people in Melandah and 3248 people in Sarishabari Upazila .
District Rehabilitation Officer, Md Nayeb Ali said Tk 20 crore 14 lakh 87 thousand 694 was allotted for implementation of the programme.
Each of the workers is getting Tk 200 per day as wage for various earthen works under the programme.
