DHAKA, April 10, 2021 (BSS) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, and BSS Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist and former president of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) Hasan Shahriar.
In a condolence message, Prof Arefin, also former vice-chancellor of Dhaka University, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to bereaved family.
He recalled the contribution of Shahriar in the field of journalism.
BSS Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad, in a separate message, expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Hasan Shahriar.
He prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to bereaved family.
Hasan Shahriar breathed his last this morning while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka at the age of 76.
