Journo Rubel lodges FIR for death of his daughter Raifa
CHATTOGRAM, July 18, 2018 (BSS)- A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged with Chawkbazar thana in connection with journalist’s child Raifa killing at city’s Max hospital.
Rubel Khan, father of two and a half years old baby Rafida Khan Raifa, lodged the FIR with Chawkbazar thana against Managing director of Max Hospital Dr Liakat Ali Khan, child specialist Dr Bidhan Roy Chowdhury, the then on-duty doctors Debashish Sen Gupta and Shuvra Deb.
Abul Kalam Azad, officer in charge of Chawkbazar thana told journalists that he received the FIR and it would be treated as a case after scrutiny.
Earlier, the probe-committee led by Chattogram Civil Surgeon Azizur Rahaman Siddique recommended for taking action against three doctors of the hospital, including a paediatric consultant, for showing negligence of duty while treating two and half years old Rafia Khan.
Raifa Khan, daughter of Dainik Samokal Chattogram Bureau Senior Correspondent Rubel Khan, allegedly died of negligence of duty at Max hospital in Chattogram on June 29.
