Tomorrow’s Bangabandhu centenary celebration theme ‘Banglar Mati, Amar Mati’

DHAKA, March 21, 2021 (BSS) – The nation will celebrate the sixth day of the 10-day programme of the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and golden jubilee of the independence with the theme ‘Banglar Mati, Amar Mati’.

President Abdul Hamid will attend the function as the chief guest at the National Parade Ground in the city while Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will chair it.

Nepalese President Bidhya Devi Bhandari will be present at the function as guest of honour.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will deliver the welcome speech at the discussion session while State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam will moderate the function. Literary Personality Selina Hossain will take part at the discussion on the theme.

At the discussion session, “Sraddha Swarak” (souvenir of tributes) will be handed over to the distinguished guests.

The first session of the function will be concluded with the speech of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

At the cultural function, instrumental music of hundreds of artistes and a recorded cultural function of friendly country Nepal will be played.

The function will be completed with the thousands of years (choreography: poetry, song and dance), six seasons of Bangla (dance performances by 60 artistes), language movement, Liberation War and Patriotic Song Medal: From then on, the days of change (choreography), small ethnic group performances ‘Colorful Culture of Bangla’, Jatrapala ‘Ma Mati Manush’, medal song of hundred bouls ‘Sabar Upar Manush Satta’, and Bangabandhu’s favorite song and performing songs dedicated to Bangabandhu.

The event will be held from 4.30pm to 8pm. The function will be held maintaining the health rules due to COVID-19 pandemic and 500 invited guests from home and abroad will be present at the National Parade Ground.
