CUMILLA, Feb 25, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 800 helpless and cold affected poor women in Ashoktala area under Sadar upazila of the district have received winter clothes on ‘Mujib Year’, the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’.
Department of Women’s Affairs of the district has distributed the winter clothes among the 800 destitute, helpless and elderly women at the office of the Deputy Director of the Department of Women’s Affairs in the district on Thursday.
Kaniz Tazia, Deputy Director of the Department of Women’s Affairs, Razia Rahman, President of Pratigya Foundation and leaders of voluntary women’s organizations were also present on the occasion.
In this regard, Deputy Director of Women’s Affairs Kaniz Tazia told BSS that the winter clothes have been distributed among the 800 destitute, helpless and elderly women on the occasion of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
