IU student adviser Prof Dr Saidur Rahman dies of Covid-19

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Feb 25, 2021 (BSS) – Professor Dr M Saidur Rahman,
student advisor and head of the Bangla Department of Islamic University (IU)
in Kushtia, died of Covid-19 this morning.

He breathed his last at 6.30 am while undergoing treatment at Ibn Sina
Hospital in the capital, Professor Dr M Rashiduzzaman of Bangla department
confirmed the matter to BSS.

Dr Saidur Rahman along with his wife tested positive for Covid-19 on
January 27.

IU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Shaikh Abdus Salam, Teachers
Association, Shapla Forum, Bangabandhu Parishad, Zia Parishad and Officers
Association have expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Saidur
Rahman.

According to his family, Dr Saidur Rahman was admitted to Dhaka
Bangladesh Specialized Hospital on February 2 due to increasing lung
complications. Later, he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Ibn
Sina Hospital.
