5.8-magnitude quake hits Auckland Islands, New Zealand region – USGS

HONG KONG, Jan. 24 (BSS/Xinhua) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8
jolted Auckland Islands, New Zealand region at 05:47 GMT on Sunday, the U.S.
Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at
51.1834 degrees south latitude and 162.1096 degrees east longitude.
