JHENAIDAH, Jan 13, 2021 (BSS) – At least six people were killed and
four others injured in a road accident at Shailkupa upazila in the
district this evening.
The accident took place when a cement-laden truck coming from
Jashore collided head-on with a three-wheeler (Karimon) in Madandanga
area of the Shailkupa upazila around 6.45pm, Jhenaidah Assistant
Superintendent of Police (Shailkupa Circle) Ariful Islam told BSS.
The identities of the victims could not be known immediately, he
said, adding that all of the six people were male and passengers of
the three-wheeler.
The bodies were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital for autopsy, Ariful
said, adding that the truck was seized.
