GAIBANDHA, Dec 13, 2020(BSS)- A total of five lakh 88 thousand and 972 children aged between 9 months and 10 years would be administered with measles- Rubella vaccine in the district to protect them from the disease.
The Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign which began yesterday would be continued in the district till January 24.
Acting civil surgeon (CS) Dr. Nazmul Hossain disclosed this at a press conference held at the conference room of the CS yesterday.
Acting CS Dr Nazmul Hossain also said, Measles-Rubella Campaign-2020 was scheduled to launch on December 5.
But the authorities have rescheduled the vaccination campaign on December 12.
To conduct the vaccination campaign 756 vaccinators and 255 supervisors had been deputed , the CS added.
Medical officer Dr. Md. Hafizur Rahman and other health officials and a number of journalists working in print and electronic media took part in it .
