Reflecting Bangabandhu’s ideals in next elections stressed

RANGPUR, July 6, 2018 (BSS) – Leaders of Bangabandhu Parishad today called upon members of the organisation, professionals and professional organisations to work unitedly so that Bangabandhu’s ideals were reflected in the next general elections.

They made the call at a views-sharing meeting jointly organised by the district and city units of Bangabandhu Parisahd at the conference room of Rangpur Circuit House in the city.

Advisor of the central committee of Bangabandhu Parishad and Pro Vice-chancellor of the National University Professor Dr Hafiz Md Hasan Babu attended the meeting as the chief guest.

Coordinator of the central committee of Bangabandhu Parishad Md Mozahedul Islam Shimul addressed the meeting as the special guest with Convener of Rangpur city unit of the organisation Golam Mortuza Hanif in the chair.

Convener of Rangpur district unit of Bangabandhu Parisahd Advocate Rafique Hasnine and its member-secretary Advocate Feroz Kabir Chowdhury Gunjan, President of its Thakurgaon district unit Advocate Abu Jafar Shamsuddin, members of the organisation Professor AM Abu Taleb Mandal, Mashiur Rahman, Advocate Jitendra Nath Roy, Jahangir Alam Kajol and Hamid Sarker, among others, spoke.

The chief guest said Bangabandhu Parisahd is not a political platform and the organisation stands on the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“Bangabandhu Parisahd is an organisation of the professionals, but not for opportunists and dishonest people,” he said and urged its members to work sincerely in line with the ideals of Bangabandhu in the process of building a developed Sonar Bangla.
