Kamarjani UDC conducts publicity campaign on e-services.

GAIBANDHA, OCT 24, 2020 (BSS)- Kamarjani Union Digital Center (UDC) in celebration of the Mujib Year, the birth centenary of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been conducting publicity among the people in the district since October 11 about the campaign of e-services, available at the center at nominal cost

The theme of the campaign is “Barchhe Sebar Bohor, Gram Hobe Shohor”

Marking the e-services campaign on Mujib Year, the UDC under a 2iprogramme of the Prime Minister (PM) office distributed leaflets with available e-services of the digital center for the people on Friday.

An elephant was also used to distribute the leaflets among the people who received it with much interest.

The leaflets distribution through the elephant was able to draw the attention of the businessmen of traditional Kamarjani bandar and the people from all walks of life of the union.

At least, 2000 leaflets were distributed among the people using the mammoth animal, said Mahabubur Rahman, entrepreneur of the UDC.

The e-services include medical visa, appointment of the doctors, mobile banking, agriculture information service, mutation, pre haj registration, filing of general diaries with thanas and results of examinations,

The e-services also include application for jobs, admission to various universities, national ID card correction, and online course , video call with the expatriate near and dear ones, doing photocopy, birth registration, various account opening and cash deposit and withdrawal.

According to the leaflet, it is known that various types of e-services are provided to the grass root rural people of the union and its surroundings areas from the center since its establishment at the initiative of the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Earlier, a big gathering was held on the ground of Kamarjani Merchants’ High School marking the e-services on Saturday last where hundreds of females including local elite and government employees, social workers attended .

Faruqul Islam, head teacher of the school, said the above mentioned e-services are being provided by the UDC at minimum cost.

Every day, a number of rural people from all walks of life are coming to the UDC and taking their need base e-services without any hassle, said, Mahabubur Rahman, entrepreneur of the center.
